Care instructions for moldable/heat-resistant synthetic hair
- Comb the hair gently but carefully with a wide-toothed comb.
- Fill the sink with cold water and add a capful of Jon Renau Synthetic Wig Shampoo to the wig.
- Wash the wig carefully (do not rub or scrub), but rather swirl it back and forth in the water.
- Rinse hair thoroughly with cold water and shake off excess water.
- Thoroughly dry the entire wig with a towel, apply Jon Renau Conditioning Spray to the hair and comb through with a wide-toothed comb.
- The wig looks best when it is air dried, but you can also blow dry the wig and use the wide-toothed comb to shape it.
- We recommend spraying the wig with Jon Renau's HD Smooth Detangler in the evening after wearing it and combing it through with a wide-toothed comb. This is especially important for medium-length and long HD wigs to prevent matting.
Styling tips for moldable/heat-resistant synthetic hair
- We recommend that you use a hair dryer to style or comb your HD wig.EXCLUSIVELYuse a wide-toothed comb.
- The HD fiber can withstand temperatures of up to 180° C. Nevertheless, Jon Renau recommends temperatures of 130° C to 140° C for styling devices.
- Air drying the wig can help the fiber last longer.
Curls/waves in moldable/heat-resistant synthetic hair
It is recommended to use professional heat styling devices with digital temperature display to control the temperature.
- Comb the hair gently but carefully with a wide-toothed comb.
- Heat the curling iron to 130 to 140° C.
- Separate a section of hair about 2.5 to 4 cm wide (narrow sections = smaller curls, wide sections = larger curls).
- To protect the fiber, spray Jon Renau Heat Treat Thermal Spray onto the strand (spray 1 to 2 times per strand).
- Place the strand of hair on the curling iron and wrap it around the curling iron from the ends of the hair to just before the hairline. Make sure that the ends of the hair lie flat.
- Leave the strand on the curling iron for 10 to 15 seconds. Then, point the tip of the curling iron toward the floor and let the curled strand slide into your palm.
- Hold the curled strand with one hand. With the other hand, pin it to the top of your hairline with a small metal clip.
- Allow the curled strand to cool completely (approximately 5 to 10 minutes). Then remove the clip and let the curled strand hang down naturally.
- Of course, you can also comb your hair to loosen the curls a bit. The best way to do this is with your fingers.
Straightening the moldable/heat-resistant synthetic hair
- Comb the hair gently but carefully with a wide-toothed comb.
- Heat the straightener to 130 to 140° C.
- To protect the fiber, spray Jon Renau Heat Treat Thermal Spray onto the strand (spray 1 to 2 times per strand).
- Separate a section of hair about 2.5 to 4 cm wide. Start at least 5 cm from the roots and slowly let the straightener glide over the section to the ends of the hair.
- After straightening, comb the hair lightly with a wide-toothed comb.
- Let the hair hang down naturally so that it can cool down.
