The first wig purchase?

What head size are the wigs suitable for?
Unless otherwise stated for the individual women's models from Bergmann or Ellen Wille, all wigs have a standard size of 55 cm , which means they are ideal for head sizes of 54-56 cm . The models can be individually adjusted to the shape of the head using elastic bands in the neck area, making them very comfortable to wear!
Men's models are, unless otherwise stated, in the standard size 57/58 cm and can also be individually adjusted using elastic bands.
How do I measure my head size correctly?
The head size or head circumference is measured at the level of the natural hairline (from the forehead over the neck back to the forehead).

How do I choose the right hair color?
For each of our models there are color images showing the available hair colors. You can also request a color fan (Ellen Wille/Raquel Welch trend colors) to borrow free of charge.

Of course, you also have the option of sending us a strand of your hair or your current wig. We will then select the right hair color for you.
How do I care for my wig?
To ensure that your wig retains its shine and shape for a long time, you should follow the instructions on our "Care Tips" information page, depending on whether you have a synthetic or real hair wig.
How do I put the wig on correctly?
If you have a lot of your own hair, it is best to use a wig net. Place the wig on your forehead at your own hairline and pull it back. Align the small feathers attached to the sides in front of the ear at the same height, then pull the wig down to the hairline in the neck area. The size of the wig can be changed in the neck area using the integrated stretch bands.

How do I style my wig?
Wigs with straight hair can be styled using a wig brush/comb or your fingertips. Wigs with very curly hair can be gently shaken and the curls separated with your fingers. Curly wigs should never be brushed.
Your wig is designed with a basic cut, but you can make small changes with your own styling. Try tucking the hair behind your ears for a change or using hair accessories. You can create different looks with just one wig. Try it out! Most wigs, however, only need to be shaken and shaped with your fingers.
Wigs with wavy cuts and loose waves should only be brushed lightly, starting at the tips and then gently working your way towards the top of the head.
For straight styles, start with the ends as you would with wavy styles. Once all the hair is well separated, brush your wig again from the crown to the ends, this will give the hair a silky, smooth look.
Combing or brushing too vigorously can damage or tear out the hair. A synthetic wig is always pre-styled by the manufacturer and does not normally require long, complicated styling.
Can I change the wig style?
Whether it's an Ellen Wille, Jon Renau or Bergmann wig, you can't make major changes to the style of synthetic wigs . You can brush waves a little smoother, but you can't turn curly hair into straight hair and vice versa.
The situation is somewhat different with real hair wigs ; these can be dyed and curled or straightened again.
Wigs made of heat-resistant synthetic hair can also be reshaped using heat treatment (up to 130°C). Dyeing is not possible.
Cutting a wig is possible at any time, but should be done by a professional.
Can I dye the wig?
Synthetic wigs cannot be dyed.
This is possible with real hair wigs. However, since the hair is treated, this is not recommended. In general, dyeing the hair darker and adding highlights (by a professional) is not a problem. Lightening the hair is not recommended.
How long does a wig last?
Synthetic hair wigs up to chin length have a wearing time of approx. 4 to 6 months (wearing time daily approx. 8 hours).
For wigs that come into contact with clothing or the neck, the wearing time is reduced accordingly.
Human hair wigs have a wearing time of about 6 to 12 months depending on the hair quality.
Billing with the health insurance company?
We are contractual partners of the health insurance companies!
If your doctor has prescribed a wig for you, you can redeem it with us at any time.
We will be happy to take care of the entire billing process with your health insurance company for you!
Wigs are medical aids in the sense of the Social Security Code. If you suffer from hair loss due to illness and need a hair replacement, you can usually get your wig on prescription. A doctor can issue you with the prescription.
- You choose one to three wigs from our extensive range and order them using the payment method "Cash payment - wig on prescription".
- You will receive your desired wigs conveniently delivered to your home.
- Once you have decided on a wig, send us back the models you do not want to keep. Please enclose the original prescription signed on the back of the delivery with the return.
- As soon as we receive the signed original prescription, we will take care of the billing with your health insurance company!
- If a difference arises because your chosen hair replacement exceeds the costs approved by your health insurance company, you will receive a separate invoice from us for the additional payment amount.
